Exciting News from the DDA Board

The DDA Board has fantastic news to share! On November 6, Executive Director John Mach was awarded Downtown Director of the Year for his exemplary leadership!

The Michigan Downtown Association (MDA) presented the award at their conference in Rochester, Michigan. MDA is a state-wide, non-profit organization and a driving force in the interest and growth of downtowns and communities throughout Michigan. John’s work over the past two years has focused on promoting the vibrant Elk Rapids community. Projects have included the new wayfinding signage, facade grants for our businesses, event support, and a wide-reaching strategic marketing campaign. His endless energy working to collaborate with all groups within the district truly reflects his belief that we are Stronger Together!
